Brief Chronology from the establishment to the present Kine-ie Yashichi Shamisen Jo-Juku
(Women's Supplementary School)


Nov. 1922

Kine-ie Yashichi IV held the first shamisen training course, using Bunka-Fu at The Mitsukoshi Department Store in Osaka.

Sept. 1923

Due to The Great Kanto Earthquake, Kine-ie Yashichi IV moved to Osaka.

1928

Established "the Kine-ie Yashichi Shamisen Jo-Juku in Osaka.
The shamisen program started from JOBK(NHK Osaka Broadcasting Station).
Kine-Yashichi IV chaired the program.

1930

The shamisen program started from JOAK (NHK Tokyo Broadcasting Station).
Kine-ie Yashichi IV chaired the program.

April. 1931

Kine-ie Yashichi Shamisen Jo-Juku moved to Akasaka, Tokyo.

1942

Kine-ie Yashichi IV died on December 17.

1944

Kine-ie Yashichi V (present Nanao II) succeeded to IV.

1947

Kine-ie Yashichi V re-opened Shamisen School in Jiyu-ga-oka, Tokyo.

1962

Shamisen School moved to the present location in Ebisu, Tokyo.

1983

Kine-ie Yashichi VI (present Grandmaster) succeeded to Kine-ie Yashichi V. Kine-ie Yashichi V succeeded to Kine-ie Nanao II

1990

Constructed the new Kine-ie Kaikan Hall in Memory of the Centennial of Kine-ie Yashichi IV's birthday.

Official name is The Centennial Memorial Hall for Kine-ie Yashichi IV's birthday. l (abbreviated name: Kine-ie Kaikan).
